The 2005 Rudolph C. Barnes Sr. Symposium will be held all day April 8, 2005 in the auditorium at the University of South Carolina School of Law, 701 South Main Street in Columbia. It is free and open to the public, and will be avaliable via live webcast. However, we request that lawyers who wish to register for continuing legal education credit attend in Columbia, preregister to make sure we have the necessary CLE materials and, unless they are members of the judiciary, government lawyers, or members of the South Carolina Bar Military Law Section, pay a $75 administration fee. You are heartily invited to attend in person or to watch the webcast whether or not you wish to register for CLE credit, and the $75 is only to defray CLE costs if you wish to register for those CLE hours. Award of CLE credit is contingent upon program attendance and approval by the Supreme Court of South Carolina Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization. However, on a preliminary basis the Barnes Symposium will qualify for 9.17 hours of continuing legal education credit of which 1.83 hours will qualify as ethics hours.
