The 2008 Rudolph C. Barnes Sr. Symposium will be held all day Jan 25 & 26, 2008 in the auditorium at the University of South Carolina School of Law, 701 South Main Street in Columbia. It is free and open to the public, and will be available via live webcast. However, we request that lawyers who wish to register for continuing legal education credit attend in Columbia, preregister to make sure we have the necessary CLE materials and, unless they are speakers, members of the judiciary, government lawyers, full-time legal educators, or members of the South Carolina Bar Military Law Section, pay a $75 administration fee. You are heartily invited to attend in person or to watch the webcast whether or not you wish to register for CLE credit, and the $75 is only to defray CLE costs if you wish to register for those CLE hours. The Supreme Court of South Carolina Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization has approved the Barnes Symposium for 13 hours of continuing legal education credit, subject to individual attendance and final approval of the SC CLE Commission, and its equivalent in other states.
